Family Planning Services
Family planning plays a key role in the prevention of unintended pregnancies and improving a woman's health prior to planning a pregnancy. Family planning information, education, and services also reduce both the incidence and impact of sexually transmitted diseases through screening and treatment.
Services available include pregnancy testing and counseling, and a physical examination. The exam includes screening for breast and cervical cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV counseling and testing and high blood pressure. In addition, contraceptives such as birth control pills, IUDs, Implanon and condoms are available for women. We also provide information about women's health including health promotion and disease prevention. Follow-up and referral services are offered based on the individual's history and need for medical and/or social services.
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant there are steps you can take for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. The healthier you are, the better chance your baby will be born healthy.
